Four months was quite wonderful, I swear it keeps getting better. Rye successfully flew on a plane 6 times, he's Traveled to Kansas City and Los Angeles. He has also traveled in a car ride for 4 hours to St. Louis from Kansas City and he did a good job.
We celebrated our first Christmas together. I never knew the holidays could get more magical. My sister hired Santa to come to the house and to bring her girls their presents on Christmas Eve. I was brought to tears when Santa showed up, I didn't think I was going to feel that way but I did. Those memories can never be replaced.
Rye is no longer throwing up a ton! My doctor prescribed him Zantac, which has been helping with his stomach acid.
Homeboy loves his hands and putting them them in his mouth. They are the most delicious thing to him.
Discovered that Timmy and I both have certain parenting duties that we hate to do. I thought it was going to be changing his poop diapers, but I surprisingly don't mind doing that. But what I do hate doing is buckling Rye into his car seat, the clips always get tangled and Rye most of the times cries when I try to get him settled in it. Timmy hates properly putting clothes back on Rye after changing his diaper. He says he never gets the snaps right.
Rye brings out the best side of me. Its my true self. I don't take myself too serious and can just laugh and be silly. The way he looks at me, its as if I am the coolest person to him.
Mommy brain is real! I lately have been forgetting everything, I will one minute know what I am doing then the next have no idea why I came down stairs. I was talking to my sister about it over the holidays and she was like yep its real. She said she legit thought she was having early set Alzheimers. She said what helped her was properly getting a full nights rest, and since Rye is still in bed with us and using my boob as a pacifier I haven't gotten the deep sleep I need. Once I get the needed sleep I am missing, hopefully the fuzziness in my brain will go away. She also said when she did the Whole 30 Diet it made her brain more clear, but you know me I love my food and I can't cut anything out.
We spent a majority of Rye's 4th month in Kansas City with my family, which was great, the only hard part was not having his swing or play mat that he loves. I had to constantly hold him, and the only way to get him down for a nap was to have him sleep in his car seat. We had LA planned a week after we got back from Kansas City, and luckily my friend who we were staying with is a nanny, and was able to get a few items for Rye to be comfortable in at her house. Once we stayed at her house, I was so happy to have a play mat and a bassinet, it made our stay much easier. We are heading to NYC in March and I am in process of looking for easy travel items to keep Rye comfortable during our travels.
