GINGER GARLIC SPINACH
This recipe is inspired by the spinach I have gotten at dim sum, when it pulls up on the cart I snatch it up as fast as I can! After all the dumplings I scarf down, a nice plate of veggies makes me feel slightly better. The spinach blanched, served chilled with sesame seeds and soy sauce.
My spinach is sautéed with lots of garlic, ginger and seasoned with soy sauce.
3 tablespoon sesame oil
4 garlic cloves, sliced
3 INCH PIECE OF GINGER PEELED AND THINLY JULIENNED
1 1/2 pounds baby spinach leaves, cleaned
2 tablespoon tamari or soy sauce
dash of salt
Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and ginger cook until soften about 3 minutes.
Add spinach and cook until the spinach is slightly wilted.
Add soy sauce to taste and continue cooking, just until the spinach has all wilted. Season to taste with salt and top with sesame seeds.
