Because fresh pesto is the best and easy to make.
2 garlic cloves
1/2 cup raw almonds
4 cups basil
1/2 cup olive oil
1/4 cup finely grated parmesan
freshly ground pepper
Place the garlic and almonds into the bowl of a food processor and pulse several times.
Add the basil and parmesan and pulse.
While the food processor is running, slowly add the olive oil in a steady small stream.
Stir in some salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
